Springfield – Gilbert “Gil” R. Perlman 65, a forty-six-year Springfield resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 23, 1952 the son of Denise Marie-Rose James of New Jersey and the late Albert Perlman.
Gil loved and supported all of the Boston home teams and was an astronomy buff. He also enjoyed repairing computers, long country drives on his motorcycle, boating and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Martell) Perlman, and his daughter Michelle Perlman of Chicopee. He also leaves his brother Lance Perlman and two sisters, Christine Kazlau and Micheline James, all of New Jersey. He will be sadly missed by two grandsons, John Yiannacopoulos, and Damien Perlman.
Relatives and friends are requested to meet at 1:30 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA followed by a procession to the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery for military honors.
