Gerald Patrick Baidy

SPRINGFIELD - Gerald Patrick Baidy, 71, a lifelong resident of Springfield, entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. He served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Baidy retired as a machine operator from Spaulding Manufacturing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mae (Worthy) Baidy; his brother, Joseph Baidy; his sister, Marion Baidy and his step- father, John Sherard. He leaves his children, Jimae Hardy of North Carolina, Willie Ray Baidy of Florida, his stepson, James Albert of New Jersey; his brother, Earl Baidy and his wife Yvonne and a sister Joyce Otey all of Springfield, MA along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral for Mr. Baidy will be held at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA on Tuesday July 1, 2014 with viewing from 11:00AM to 12Noon. Services will be held at 12Noon conducted by Reverend Kenneth M. Young of St. John’s Congregational Church, Springfield, MA. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. Visit www.nefcc.net
