With deepest sorrow, we celebrate the life of Georgia A. Moore, 72, who was born in Petersburg, TN on July 11, 1948 and departed this life on June 3, 2021.
Georgia attended West End High School Fayetteville, TN, graduating in 1966. When she relocated to Springfield, MA she received her Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Springfield Technical Community College. Georgia, affectionately called GEORGIE by those who knew her best, was loved by all those who knew her. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, drawing, crossword puzzles and her favorite show, Animal Planet. She loved being around family and friends. She was loving, compassionate, caring and we can’t forget her stubbornness. Georgia was very giving and would give you the shirt off her back. She was strong; she was a fighter until the very end.
Georgia (Georgie) is now joining her loving partner of over 35 years, the late George F. Wright. Georgia is predeceased by her father Robert L. Jennings; a sister Robbie Nell Talley of Fayetteville, TN; a niece Demetria Martin of Springfield, MA and a nephew Michael Talley of Favetteville, TN.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Annie L. Jennings of Springfield, MA; two sisters: Mary L. Jennings and Juese Martin, both of Springfield, MA; four children: Tina Moore, James A. Moore and Monica Glasgow, all of Springfield, MA and Kizzy Moore of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren: Veronica Levy, Maurice Baker, Tashawrah Loving, Nakisha Baker, Darian Andrews, Breshe Hill, Semaj Moore, all of Springfield, MA, Breona Moore of Hampton, VA and Hausan Glasgow, Jada Fowler and Javon Fowler of Houston, TX; nineteen great-grandchildren and her nephews Mickey Martin and Demetrius Martin. She will be missed by a host of loving family and friends. We also would like to give a special thanks to her dialysis family for taking such great care of her over the many years.
The wake will be held on June 11, 2021 from 10-11AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with a service at 11AM. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to participate in Mrs. Moore’s service by visiting the livestream link on her memorial page at
