Gene A. Disorda

Gene A. Disorda, 85, passed away on July 12, 2023. He was born in Whiting, Vermont on July 27, 1937. He was the husband of the late Carol E. (Johnson) Disorda who predeceased him in 2009. He was previously employed as a maintenance man for Samuel J. Plotkin & Sons. One of his life’s greatest pleasures was watching TV and drinking coffee. He survived by his children: Gene E. Disorda, Jr., and Carol Jean Disorda. He also leaves his longtime friend Catherine Flebotte. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 beginning at 11:30AM followed by a funeral service at 12:30PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Union Church, 15 Wilton Street, Springfield, MA 01109 or to Thomas J. O’Connor or Rays of Hope.
