SPRINGFIELD – Gail P. Cote, 73, passed away at home on October 27, 2016.
A lifelong resident, she was born in Springfield, MA on September 1, 1943 to Clyde and June (Gloucester) Daigle and was employed in food service at Mercy Medical Center for many years. She was a people person, enjoyed music, and played hockey as a right wing for the Sixteen Acres Puckettes. She was a close friend of “Bill W” for twenty-five years.
Pre-deceased by her parents and husband Peter, she leaves her sons, Kevin Cote and his better half Lisa Russo, Keith Cote and his wife Patricia, and KellyAnn Cote and her sister Darla Doty, all of Springfield, and grandchildren Caroline, Christopher and Ryan.
The wake will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6-8 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 8:45 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
