AGAWAM - Mr. Frank Boyd, formerly of 129 Suffolk Street, passed away on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at the Baystate Medical Center. He was born on March 3rd, 1919 in Jefferson County, GA to the late Roger and Julia Boyd.
Mr. Boyd was a resident of Springfield, MA for over 50 years. He was a retired industrial employee at the Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co., which was located in Indian Orchard, MA. In addition to his work as an Industrial employee, Mr. Boyd was well known for his gift in landscape design, and provided service in various parts of Western Massachusetts. He was an outdoors man who loved fishing and gardening. He loved baseball, and his favorite team was the New York Yankees. He was a stern and straightforward man, whose heart and soul was full of love and laughter. Most importantly, he loved his family with all of his heart, and lived out his family first principle until his dying day. He was a father to the fatherless; a friend to the friendless; and his home was a shelter to those in need of refuge.
