Frances L. Dixon

SPRINGFIELD – Frances L. Dixon, 88, passed away on July 19, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on March 7, 1928 in Old Forge, PA to the late Walter and Leokadia Kowalczuk. She had worked as a clerk for May’s Department Store and for electronics companies in New Jersey before moving here in 2003. She was a loving wife and mother and a kind, compassionate person, often feeding the birds and night animals at her home. She and her husband enjoyed going to the Ludlow Senior Center. She prided herself for sharing the same birth year as Mickey Mouse. She leaves her husband John G. Dixon, Sr. of Springfield; son John G. Dixon, Jr. and his wife Helena of Ludlow; granddaughter Paige Taylor and several other family members. She will be fondly remembered for saying “God loves you and so do I”.Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Church, 15 Kibbe Road, East Longmeadow, MA.
