Ludlow – Frances Burdette Brockmyer died December 24, 2009 in Agawam. Born on April 8, 1922 in Columbus, OH to Oscar and Ruby Burns, she married Robert Brockmyer on September 11, 1943 in Baltimore, MD and they were married until his death in 1993. She moved to Massachusetts in 1994 after many years in Ohio. A creative person, Frances loved music and quilting. She was an active member of the Wilbraham Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the time of her death. She was baptized in 1967 in Columbus, OH and preached regularly about the Bible and the hope of God’s Kingdom until her death. Frances was predeceased by three sisters: Mary, Margaret and Lucy and is survived by a sister, Betty Bogner of Columbus, OH. She leaves three children: Steven Brockmyer of Columbus, OH; David and Angela Brockmyer of Ware, MA and Susan and John Rottman of Ludlow, MA and her daughter- in- law Sandy Brockmyer of Columbus, OH She also leaves nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Frances will be missed by her many spiritual brothers and sisters in various congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide. A memorial talk will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1680 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield is entrusted with the arrangements.
