Florence M. Farmer

Florence M. Farmer was born June 14, 1930, in Burlington, Vermont. She went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2021.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Carter of Connecticut.

She leaves her son in love, Craig Hill of Pittsfield and special nephew, Walter Allen of California along with a host of nieces and nephews, her god-daughter Danielle Wallace and her best friend Juanita Burroughs who will all cherish her memory.

Florence was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Florence (Fortin) Farmer and her best friend and companion of 41 years, Rev. Eddie L. Hill as well as her brother Russell Farmer and her sister, Jenny Farmer.

Florence was a faithful member of Springfield Grace Community Baptist Church.  In addition, she was a member of the a cappella group, Heritage.

Florence was blessed to have a dedicated group of care-givers: Daphne, Johnetta, Deli, Barbara, Annie, Maureen, Marcy, Nan, and Tammy.

The funeral for Florence M. Farmer will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 beginning with a wake from 10AM-11AM and a service at 11AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to participate in livestreaming services by visiting the link on her memorial page at www.nefcc.net
