Evelyn M. Graziano

SPRINGFIELD and Agawam – Evelyn M. Graziano, 94, passed away peacefully January 17, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1919 in Chicopee, MA to the late Joseph and Frances Ogorzalek. Evelyn worked for many years as a seamstress at Gemini Corp. in Springfield before her retirement in 1984. She loved line dancing, which she continued to do well into her 80’s, as well as crocheting, reading and bingo. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Anthony Graziano, a son Vincenzo James “Jimmy” Graziano and her sister Frances Peters. She is survived by her three grandsons: Anthony J. Graziano and his wife Shelley of Ware, Christopher J. Graziano of West Springfield, Dr. Thomas J. Graziano and his wife Linnea of Agawam, and their mother Judith A. Bonafilia and her husband James of West Springfield; seven great grandchildren: Alysha, Andrea, Samantha, Nicholas, Julia, Jack and Xander; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Salvatore and Cleta Graziano of West Springfield; daughter-in-law: Madeleine Graziano of Agawam as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Hall South for their excellent care over the years.Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St. Springfield, MA. The funeral will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 9:00 AM from the funeral center followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 123 William St. Springfield, MA.
