Elizabeth Mary Snow

SOUTH HADLEY-Elizabeth Mary Snow (Betsy) of South Hadley, MA died March 22, 2013 at Wingate at South Hadley. Born June 19, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Colby) (Snow) Rose and the late William C. Rose of South Hadley, MA. Her father, Edward J. Snow, passed away in 1955. She leaves a brother, Edward W. Snow of Sydney, Australia; sisters: Sally Snow of South Hadley, MA and Nathalie (Rose) Galluccio of East Granby, CT; aunt, Alice R. Colby of CA; cousins: Paul Colby and Ruth Ellen (Colby) Fry of CA and Douglas Colby of MI and nephews: Ben and David Snow of Australia. Betsy attended South Hadley schools and served for many years as a dedicated staff member with The Association of Community Living in Springfield. Always a loyal helper to friends and family, she was also a lifelong friend to animals. As the family genealogist she located lost family connections and found many interesting stories to share about her forebears. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Wingate of South Hadley and Beacon Hospice for their care of Betsy in the last months of her life. A Remembrance Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a visiting hour from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Everett, MA at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Association for Community Living or the ASPCA.
