Elizabeth A. Correale

Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Stadler) Correale, 91, of Springfield, MA died on October 5, 2019 at Heritage Hall South, Agawam, MA.

She was the daughter of the late William and Olga (Newmann) Stadler and devoted wife of her late husband of 63 years, Angelo Correale, Jr.

Born in West Hartford, CT and raised in New Britain, CT and Holyoke, MA.  Betty was a long time resident of East Longmeadow, MA.  She graduated from Holyoke High School and earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Holyoke Hospital.  Betty served in the Nurse Cadet Corp during WWII.  She and her husband survived the Worcester Tornado of ’53.  Betty adored her 5 grandchildren.  She also enjoyed playing bridge, knitting and watching the Boston sports teams, especially the Celtics.

Mrs. Correale is predeceased by her daughter Nancy, brother William Stadler and sister Edna (Stadler) Desrochers.

She is survived by her devoted sons James and his wife Helen of West Wareham, MA and David and his wife Deborah of Glen Mills, PA, as well as her 5 grandchildren:  Jennifer, Stephanie, David Jr., Rachel and Kevin along with many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 West Central Street, Suite 220, Natick, MA 01760.
