Edward W. Sporbert

SPRINGFIELD-Edward W. Sporbert died October 6, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. Born on April 11, 1944 in Portland, ME to the late Paul and Mary (Brouillard) Sporbert, he had lived in Springfield since 1998 and had worked at the former James River Graphics as a shift supervisor for many years. In the year 1995 he was the co-arthur of a patent for digital imaging films. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and car racing. Predeceased by his parents, he leaves his children, Edward Sporbert of San Jose, CA, Kelly Hart of Charlotte, NC, Janine Franklin of Agawam, MA; his brother, Paul Sporbert (Sandi), of Westfield, MA; sister, Kathryn Szarek (Joseph), of Indian Orchard, MA; grandchildren: Shaina, Kiresten, and Jade; nephews, Paul and Stephen, and niece, Julianne; and his beloved longtime life partner, Joan, and her children. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108.
