Edward P. Donais

Our beloved friend Eddy Donais passed away July 19, 2022 in Springfield at the age of 67. Eddy was born February 17, 1955 to Norman and Lucy (Talbot) Donais and was the middle child between his siblings Christine and Charlie.
Eddy was blessed to be born in a home with a lot of love. All that good nurturing resulted in Eddy growing up to be a person with an amazing heart.  He was polite and kind to everyone and sometimes extraordinarily kind. Eddy loved creatures of all kinds, especially the furry ones. There were a few occasions of Eddy visiting a house for the first time with a dog that was afraid of strangers and the homeowners were amazed when the dog jumped right into Eddy's lap. Somehow the dogs knew he was ok.
Eddy was a lifelong Springfield resident and had hundreds of friends. He had a passion for music and excelled at guitar starting in his teens and later the piano too. Eddy was in a number of rock bands through the years and played gigs in many towns around Springfield. He could play many songs on demand and songs without the sheet music that he had never practiced--just by listening first or remembering the old song like a TV theme song. Eddy touched many with his music whether entertaining or teaching. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Those wishing to honor Eddy's memory can do a kind deed for someone or just be kind to all people.
