Earl C. Anderson, Jr.

East Longmeadow – Earl C. “Andy” Anderson, Jr. 77, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 in a local nursing home.

He was born in Springfield on June 10, 1939, the son of the late Earl C. Sr. and Ruth (Winnie) Anderson.

He attended local schools and was a retired twenty- year firefighter for the City of Springfield and the owner of Anderson Heating and Air Conditioning in East Longmeadow. He was also a sales representative for Beckett Burners.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, photography, and gardening and took pride in restoring the historic Bristol Inn in Bristol, Maine where he and his wife were innkeepers and owners for 14 years.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Smith) Anderson and three daughters, Joyce Pierangelo and her husband Dr. David Pierangelo of Wilbraham, Christie Pezzetta of East Longmeadow and Pamela Raymond and her husband William Raymond of East Longmeadow. He also leaves his sister Judy Tetreault and husband Roland Tetreault of Springfield. He will be sadly missed by six grandchildren, Megan Pezzetta, Nicholas Pezzetta, Andrew Raymond, Aurora Pierangelo, Samuel Pierangelo, and Isabella Pierangelo and great granddaughter, Evelyn Frias.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 24, 2017 for a period of visitation with the family from 10am to 11am followed by a memorial service at 11am at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
