Douglas J. Lunden, 58, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021.
He was born January 6, 1963 in Springfield, MA to David Lunden and Carol (Stewart) Lunden. Doug spent most of his life in Palmer where he graduated High School in 1981. While in High School Doug enjoyed playing both basketball and football. Doug was a machinist working many years for C&C Specialties in Monson, MA and most recently for Halpern Titanium in Three Rivers, MA. He was a big fan of the New England Patriots and each Sunday; you would find him watching the game and yelling at the television screen. Doug cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed playing games with them and doing pretty much anything they wanted him to do.
Doug is survived by his loving wife Cindy (Reynolds) Lunden of 20 years, his brothers David and Richard Lunden, his stepdaughters Valerie (Opielowski) Maldonado, Catherine (Opielowski) Lawless, and his four grandchildren Taylor and Evan Maldonado, and Chloe and Macayla Lawless.
New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
