SPRINGFIELD - Dorothy Taylor, 90, a lifetime resident of Springfield, passed away on January 15, 2014 at Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, East Longmeadow. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce, Class of 1941; she worked as a secretary for the Springfield Public Schools, and was a Girl Scout leader for many years.
Predeceased by her parents Albert and Edith (Stevens) Dudley, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elwin C. Taylor, son, Dana C. Taylor and wife Christine of East Longmeadow, daughters, Doreen E. Sullivan and husband Andrew of Westfield and Deborah G. Schempp and husband Kenneth of Springfield along with grandchildren, Damon Taylor, Alicia Taylor, Sean Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, Tanya Sullivan, and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM with a 1:45 PM service. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam MA.
