Dorothy Jean Lee

SPRINGFIELD-Dorothy Jean Lee, 65, departed this life on August 14, 2013. Born in Huntsville, AL on September 12, 1947 to Lenny and Martha (Motley) Whetstone, she had worked 25 years for Marriott Hotel as a night auditor and six years for the United States Postal Service. Mrs. Lee was an excellent cook who enjoyed crossword puzzles, drawing, knitting and bingo. Most of all she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Preceded in death by her husband, Winston Lee, she leaves her son, Kenneth Lee (Cathleen) of Holyoke, MA, daughter, Cheryl Lee of Springfield, MA, brothers, Thomas Durden (Marie) of KY and Michael Durden (Dannette) of AL, sister, Felicia Brooks (Charles) of AL, sister-in-law, Marion White, brothers-in-law, James Lee (Ethel “Bonnie”) and Wayman Lee (Ethel) all of Springfield, MA, grandchildren, Sophia and Derek Lee and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
