Dorothy Klich, 92, died peacefully at home on Tuesday May 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chicopee MA she was the youngest daughter of the late Bronislaw (Bruno) and Czeslawa (Tessie) Stasiowski. Dorothy graduated from Chicopee High School in 1946. Before marrying and becoming a homemaker she worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph Company as a clerk. As a young woman, Dorothy enjoyed playing tennis and skating. She especially liked reading and often took her young sons to the Springfield and West Springfield public libraries and to the local museums where she shared her passion for learning. Dorothy and Fred Klich were married in Chicopee, MA in 1959. They settled in West Springfield to raise their twin sons. Dorothy was frugal, humble, and honest. She was altruistic and had a strong moral character. She spent much time cooking a great variety of delicious foods for her family.
Dorothy is survived by her son Roderick, son Frederick and his wife Sandy, along with grand children Evan (Julia), Christina, and Derek (Kiersten) with great-grand children Mila and Camden. She also leaves her sister Victoria Capuano, sister-in-law Janie Gaj, several nieces and nephews, and her cat. She was predeceased by her husband Fred and brother Bruno. The memory of Dorothy Klich will be cherished. All services are private.
