Donald A. Russell, 86, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on March 5, 2021.
He was born in Northampton, MA on April 3, 1934, the son of the late James and Agnes (North) Russell.
He was a member of South Congregational Church and was a life member of the Chicopee Elks Lodge 1849 and enjoyed playing cards.
He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the Massachusetts Air National Guard 104th Communications Squadron at Barnes Airport in Westfield.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Julia (Whitaker) Russell, his son Stephen Russell and his wife Catherine Haber of South Hadley, MA, his daughter, Dawn Ferrari of Chicopee, MA and five grandchildren: Nathan, Christopher, Anna Marie, Jonathan and Shawn. Sadly, he was predeceased by two sons: Richard Russell and Dana Russell.
Services will be held at a later date.
