He was born in Holyoke on June 5, 1945, a son of the late Clifford M. and Dorothy (Burns) Beyer. He attended local schools and was previously employed as a custodian in several nursing homes as well as Mark Robbins Jewelers.
He leaves two brothers, Robert and his wife Elaine of Florida and Richard and his wife Gloria of Springfield. He also leaves his uncle Herman Gibson of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John Beyer in 1997.
