David W. Ryan, Sr.

WEST SPRINGFIELD – David W. Ryan, Sr., 48, died February 9, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. David had worked as a transmission specialist for AAMCO. Earlier, he worked at Bennett’s Turkey Farm of Wilbraham for over twenty-five years. For many years, he was a novice race car driver, racing car #X19 at Riverside Speedway.
He leaves his parents, John E., Sr. and Roslyn (Williams) Ryan; his beloved girlfriend, Sissy Moser of Southwick, MA; three sons: David Ryan, Jr. of Holyoke, Jonathon Ryan of West Springfield and Russell Ryan of Brattleboro, VT; a daughter, Melissa Ryan of Brattleboro, VT; six brothers: John E. Ryan, Jr., Jackie Mattoon, Joel Ryan, James Mattoon, Jay Mattoon, and Tanner Ryan; five sisters: Cheryl Ryan, Jill MacDonald, Tammy Harrington, June Maravilha and Miranda Ryan; his beloved relative, Linda Mattoon; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill St., Springfield. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Private cremation will follow at a later date.
