David E. Quiriy, 80, passed away at home after a long illness on January 22, 2021.
Born in Springfield, MA on September 5, 1940, he was the son of the late Joseph Quiriy and Viola (Pigeon) Rathbun.
He was a lifelong resident and worked in the insurance industry in Springfield for many years and was well read; his favorite topics were history and politics.
He leaves his daughter, Kendal Marie Quiriy of NC, his sisters Robbie Phaneuf and her husband Ray of Bradenton, Fl, Christine Quiriy and her partner David Porter of Littleton, MA, and his granddaughter Maggie.
He was predeceased by his sister Judy Goddard.
Funeral services will be held on February 1, 2021 beginning at 9:30AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial with military honors will follow at 11AM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Masks and social distancing are required and capacity guidelines will be followed.
