Monson - David Paul Casinghino, 63, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at UMass Memorial Hospital after a courageous fight against cancer. He lived in Monson, MA with his beloved dog Rico.
David was born on July 3, 1954 to Enrico and Emma (Wright) Casinghino of Suffield, CT. He spent many years as a factory worker for Longview Fibre in West Springfield, MA before going to work for Balise Auto. David was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending his time fishing with his son at Quabbin Reservoir and their many other favorite spots. He also enjoyed being able to spend time with his granddaughter.
David is survived by his loving children: David Paul Casinghino Jr. of Monson, and Angela Casinghino and her husband Andrew Boisvert of Feeding Hills; their mother Patricia (Calabrese) Casinghino of West Springfield; his granddaughter Gianna Boisvert; and his 3 siblings: John Casinghino of Georgia, Carol (Casinghino) Merriman of North Haven, CT, and Joan (Casinghino) McQuillan of Glastonbury, CT. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends who cared for him deeply. David will always be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, and courage.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6-8 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. www.nefcc.net
