Daniel M. Keating Jr.

SPRINGFIELD-Daniel M. Keating Jr., 65, died April 6, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Born on May 11, 1946 in Oak Park, IL to the late Daniel and Arline (Moon) Keating he had worked for many years as a mechanical engineer for McKinstry Metals. He enjoyed classic movies, fishing the Otis Reservior and bowling and was President of the Family and Friends League. Known as DJ “Doctor Danny Chatter,” he will also be remembered for spinning at birthday parties and weddings for twenty years. He leaves his wife, Constance (White) Gallus-Keating of Springfield; son, Daniel Keating III and his wife, Jaime of Spring Hill, FL; daughters: Jennifer Robbins of New Port Ritchey, FL, Sandra Tyburski and her husband, Stephen and Christina Murch and her husband, Daniel, all of Belchertown, MA and Laura Wheel and her husband, Brian of Westford, MA; 13 grandchildren: Zachary, Kyle, Dakota, Justin, Raychel, Amanda, Nathan, Adam, Ethan, Sienna, Jenna, Jacob and Evelyn and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
