EAST LONGMEADOW – Daniel Joseph Benoit, Sr., 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA after a long illness.
Dan was born on August 14, 1950 in Hartford, CT to Huguette (Lambert) Benoit and the late Raymond Benoit. In addition to his beloved wife of 37 years, Deborah (Hart) Benoit, Dan also leaves his three children: his daughter Lori (Benoit) Mutti and her husband Matthew, and their daughter Grace, of East Longmeadow; his son Dan, Jr. and his wife Jamie (Kahle) Benoit of Springfield; and his son Jim and his fiancée Jessica Boyle of Bondsville. Dan is also survived by his brother Michael and their mother Huguette of Sherman, TX along with many dear friends and relatives. Dan was predeceased by his father Raymond and brother Gary.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10 AM in St Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St East Longmeadow. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33 rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
