Claire L. (Gingras) Williams, 90, a resident of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts on January 26, 1935, the daughter of Louis Gingras and Aldea Gingras. She worked as a secretary at a local insurance company, a lunch lady, a nurse’s aid, and your local Avon lady. After taking early retirement, she committed herself to being a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo with family and friends and luxury camping in Connecticut during summers with her granddaughter. She leaves her daughter Diane Rhodes and boyfriend Rene of Chicopee and a granddaughter Melissa Boam and her husband Ricky of Woonsocket, RI. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years Stanley E. Williams in 2021, and son Steven Williams in 2011. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, where she was a long-time donor. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at Precious Blood Cemetery, Willimansett Street, South Hadley.
