Christopher E. Kwiatkowski

Christopher E. Kwiatkowski, 28, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2021. He was born in Springfield on October 7, 1993, a son of Madeline Kwiatkowski and the late Jerry Meloni Kwiatkowski. Chris was born two weeks late, inheriting his mother’s timeliness.
Chris graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 2012. He was a stellar lacrosse player, playing on the 2012 Western Mass Championship team, and was an All-Western Mass Football player. He was an all-around exceptional athlete who also enjoyed fishing, hiking, snowboarding, skating and anything outdoors.
He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants. Chris was also a Yankees fan but always proclaimed that the Red Sox were his close second. He loved any and all animals especially his dogs Onyx and Lily.
Chris was naturally gifted at whatever he chose to do, but his most natural gift was his ability to make the people around him feel special and inspire them to do the same. Chris had a smile that would light up the room along with a contagious giggle. He was the sunshine in his mother’s life.
In addition to his mother, Chris leaves his brother Stephen Kwiatkowski of Wilbraham and sister Stephanie Welch and her fiancé Joseph Santaniello of Longmeadow and his paternal grandmother Sally (Bonfiglio) Meloni of Enfield, CT. Chris also leaves his aunts and uncles Ann-Marie and Peter Kristoffy of Longmeadow, Edward and Rebecca Demetrion of Wilbraham, Josephine Zajaczkowski of Enfield CT, Lou and Mary Ramos of East Hartford CT, Edward and Bonnie Bonfiglio of New York, Maryann and Bill Moslander of Enfield, Frank Meloni of Enfield and Antonio Meloni of Enfield. He also leaves cousins Kiera, Nicholas, Emma Kristoffy, Meghan and Johnathan Demetrion, Richard and Lisa Zajaczkowski, Jonathan and Tiffany Ramos and Thomas and Kellie Cunningham, along with some close lifelong friends; you know who you are and how much you were loved!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 11AM-12:30PM with a service at 12:30PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
