Christopher Norcell Brown, 59, of Indian Orchard, MA peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Chris was born on December 24, 1961 in Gaffney, South Carolina to Dennis Oglesby of SC and Mary (Brown) Oglesby of East Hartford, CT.
Christopher graduated from Conard High School, West Hartford, CT, Class of 1980, and was currently employed as the supervisor for Brown’s Lawncare and Landscaping Services, LLC. Prior to that he was employed as a supervisor with UPS.
Chris loved to talk politics with anyone who wanted to have a long in-depth conversation. He loved to fish and was an excellent chess player. Chris was highly competitive and loved to watch Jeopardy. He also had a high interest in NASCAR and attended several races. Another passion he had was traveling throughout the United States. Chris will be remembered for his laughter and friendship. Everyone he met loved him.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his brother, Glennis Brown (Brenda) of Ludlow, MA., his sisters, Jacqueline Oglesby and Monica Oglesby of East Hartford. CT, his brother-in-law, Genus (Maharis) Wilson of Gaithersburg, MD and his sister-in-law, Bridget Byers (Chris) of Atlanta, GA, his nieces, Summer N. Cooper of Manchester, CT and Jasmine Oglesby of East Hartford, CT and nephews Patrick Stroman (Allena) of New Britain, CT and Dominique Malloy of Springfield, MA and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Chris was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Wiggins, his nephews, Alexander Malloy and Brandon Cooper and great-nephew Loyal Stroman.
The calling hour will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 11AM-12PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA followed by a service at 12Noon. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
