Cheryl L. Denoncourt

December 17, 1965 — May 23, 2020

Cheryl L. (Smith) “Sherry” Denoncourt, 54, of Monson, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Sherry will be remembered as a fighter with a strong will to survive, and as a kind and giving person, who was always willing to help others. Sherry loved to cook, play the slot machines, a good cup of coffee, and her cigarettes.

Predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Denoncourt in 2019, she will be forever missed by her children: Melissa and Jacob (Jesse) Denoncourt; grandsons Jackson and Liam Ceincewa; mother Barbara (Nothe) Petrucelli, father Peter Smith and his wife Gail, sister-in-law Peggy (Denoncourt) Bedore, and sister Corrie (Smith) Clark and her husband Tom of Huntsville, Al. She also leaves nieces Rebecca Towle, Alicia Connaughton and her son Bryan Boykin and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sherry attended Monson High School and then Pathfinder Vocational High School. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical Community College where she received an associate’s degree in Bio Medical Electronics and Bay Path University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Business. She was employed for many years as an accomplished Master Production Scheduler. She was an APICS member and served on the board of directors.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. All services will be private due to Covid-19. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
