Carmen A. Santiago Febus

Springfield--Carmen A. Santiago Febus, 69, died at home in Springfield, MA on July 15, 2012. Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico to Carlos Santiago and Carmen Febus, she will be remembered as a kind, caring, helpful and friendly woman who was the best mother in the world. She visited her daughter in Springfield, MA for several months each year until she moved here. She leaves her husband, Jose A. Amy Rivera of Coamo, Puerto Rico; her daughters Claribel Amy and her husband, Elvin Rivera of Coamo, Puerto Rico and Nanette Amy and her partner, Luis Ortiz of Springfield, MA; five brothers: Edgardo Santiago Febus of NY and Carlos Juan Santiago Febus, Angel Luis Santiago Febus, Rafael Santiago Febus and Ivan Santiago Febus of Puerto Rico; five sisters: Miriam Santiago Febus of NY and Maritza Santiago Febus, Elba I. Santiago Febus, Wilma Santiago Febus and Zoraida Santiago Febus of Puerto Rico; four grandchildren: Dariana Carola Rivera Amy, Amie Zoe Ortiz Amy, Amedee Ortiz Amy and Elvin Jose Rivera Amy and one great-grandchild, Maiya Lee Ortiz Vargas. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlos Santiago and Carmen Febus and a son, Amedee Amy.Funeral services will be held in Puerto Rico with burial in the family plot in Coamo, Puerto Rico.
