Carl J. Antunes, Jr., 62, was called home by the Lord due to Covid-19 on December 30, 2022.
He was born in Holyoke, MA on December 17, 1960, the son of Carl and Lucille (Chartier) Antunes of Chicopee, MA.
He attended local schools and was employed for over thirty years at Meredith-Springfield Associates of Ludlow, MA, being known as a hard worker. One of his favorite hobbies was visiting book stores, reading old books, travelling and the Red Sox.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his daughter Margarita Antunes and his step son William Villegas (Andrea), both of Chicopee, MA. He also leaves his siblings: John Antunes and his partner Pam Witter of Chicopee, MA, Christopher Antunes (Roseanne) of South Hadley, MA and Susan Walker (Darrell) of Arkansas. He will be missed by seven grandchildren: Tiana, Tatyana, Leasia, William, Jr., Janyla, Valentine, Stevie and his best life-long friend Dave Alaimo. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Sonia (Villegas) Antunes on September 19, 2020.
Services will be held in the spring. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
