Brinda Adkins, 78, of Chicopee, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, with her friend and life partner of 37 years, Laurie Paquin, by her side. Born on April 28, 1948, in Caryville, Tennessee, Brinda was the daughter of the late Jonah and Dolly (Sellers) Adkins. She later made her home in Massachusetts, where she spent many years working at Springfield Wire. Brinda found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark movies, working on jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She cherished the friendships she made through the Chicopee Senior Center and looked forward to its many activities and gatherings. Among her fondest memories were her many trips to Vermont, where she found peace, relaxation, and countless moments of joy. Brinda will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. In addition to Laurie Paquin, her friend and life partner of 37 years, Brinda is survived by her brother, J.D. Adkins and his wife, Aileen, of Georgia. She was predeceased by her brothers, Carnedius Adkins, Donald Adkins, Ronald Adkins, and Verland Adkins, who passed away at birth; and her sisters, Geneva Lyke, May Bourff, Judy Chapman, Nancy Marlow, Marie Ward, and Liddie Adkins, who passed away at birth. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, including her lifelong friend, Mary Jane Fish of Chicopee. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00AM at West Street Cemetery, 90 West Street, Granby, Massachusetts.
