Bridget Jo Davis

AMHERST-Bridget Jo Davis, 56, of Amherst, MA died peacefully on the evening of April 7, 2013 after a very short battle with cancer. Born on January 13, 1957 in San Francisco, CA, she was the daughter of Mirian J. Davis [nee Kraft] and the late Dr. Asa J. Davis. She spent the majority of her young childhood in Nigeria, before her family settled in Amherst in 1970. After graduating from Amherst Regional High School in 1975, Bridget lived in Georgia, California and Michigan. After living in Phoenix, AZ for several years, Bridget and her daughter returned to Amherst in 1994. Bridget worked for many years as an office manager in the Dept. of Conservation for the Town of Amherst. Her most recent position was as a Quality Assurance Coordinator with Caring Healthcare in Springfield, MA. Bridget was also a very active member of Goodwin Memorial Church in Amherst. Bridget leaves behind, her daughter, Maurisa L. Davis of Medford, MA; mother, Mirian J. Davis of Washington D.C.; sisters Beryl Davis of Malden, MA and Stephanie Davis of Washington DC; brother, Asa Davis of Amherst and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7pm at Goodwin Memorial Church in Amherst, MA. A Calling Hour will be held that same evening from 6-7pm.
