SPRINGFIELD – Barbara Riffenburg, 66, passed away on June 25, 2016. A lifelong resident of Springfield, she was born on September 1, 1949 to the late Frederick and Daisy (Redd) Hill. Strong in her faith, she was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church.
She had worked many years as a home health aide at Stavros. Affectionately known as “Auntie”, she was feisty, strong, OUTSPOKEN and fun-loving. Everyone enjoyed gathering at her home where she displayed with pride New England Patriots memorabilia.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Frederick Hill, Jr. and Beverly King. She leaves her children Jason Pope and his wife Jametha of Chicopee, Jonathan Pope and his wife Denise of FL and Jennifer Pope and her fiancé Tim Grant of Springfield; goddaughter Shanealia Jernigan of Springfield; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
