Springfield - Arthur William Pennington of Springfield, MA, Air Force veteran of the Korean War, devoted father and husband, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving and faithful family.
He was the beloved son of Louise and William Pennington. He was the beloved grandson of “Granny” Louisa and “Granpy” Samuel Smart. He leaves his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Jackie Demos Pennington. He also leaves behind his much, much loved daughters - Laurie Ann Pennington-Richard, and her loving husband Alain, Dyan Louise Pennington, and her loving husband Andrew. He leaves behind his stepson Todd Grant and Diane Knybel. His grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart, Marc, Christian, Wylliam, Thomas, Nora and Skylar will miss him and forever remember their “Boppee”, “Papa” and “Grandpa”. Arthur also leaves his loving sister Bredine, and his brother Samuel.
He will forever be remembered for the life he lived, the stories he told, the good man he was, and the lives he touched - “Best man ever”.
Funeral services are Friday, September 29, 2017 from New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA, with a period of visitation from 8:30 - 9:00AM. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
