Arthur H. Bigelow

SPRINGFIELD-Arthur H. Bigelow, 90, died September 9, 2010 at Country Estates of Agawam. He was born on September 18, 1919 in Springfield, MA and worked as an aerospace technician for Hamilton Standard. A lifelong area resident and a WW II veteran, he was predeceased by his parents, Vernal Bigelow and Lillian (White) Bigelow, and his wife, Anita (Houde) Bigelow. He leaves his loving family, his children: Pamela Smaha (Edward), of Feeding Hills, MA Bruce Bigelow (Lona) of San Diego, CA, Valerie Bigelow (Charles), of Springfield, MA, Paula Brinkerhoff, of Ellensburg, WA and Craig Bigelow, of Springfield, MA; grandchildren: Laurie Campio, of TN, and seven others and several great grandchildren. The funeral will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Sacred Heart with burial to follow with full military honors at 1:00 P.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visitation will be held at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield on Monday September 13, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
