April Smith, 65, a forty-year Springfield resident of the Indian Orchard section of the city, passed away in the security of her own home on December 25, 2020.
She was born in Albany, New York on April 1, 1955, the daughter of the late Herbert and Alice (Hathaway) Smith. April loved her family, her friends, the holidays, doing crafts, and her pets. She is survived by her long-time companion Richard Surprenant, her children: James Smith, Herbert Smith, Alice Fahey, and stepson Adam Chambers and grandchildren.
