SPRINGFIELD- Anthony L. Moore, Sr. passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Claudie and Fannie Mae (Burston) Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Orr) Moore, two sons, Anthony Moore, Jr. and Kendill Moore of Springfield, a daughter, Tyrena Lester and her husband Benjamin F. Lester, III of Springfield, two brothers, Huey Moore of Springfield, and Hezekiah Moore of Holyoke and one granddaughter, London Lester. He also leaves his Alexander siblings, and his many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Anthony was predeceased by his brother Napoleon Burston and his sister Dorothy Jean Davis, as well as Mary “Ma” Alexander.
Anthony was a Deacon and God-Fearing man, a provider and a true “Head of Household” and enjoyed music and crossword puzzles.
The viewing will held be on Saturday, September 29, 2018 beginning at 10AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM at Springfield Grace Community Baptist Church, 1791 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA where he was a long-time member. Private services will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Springfield Grace Community Baptist Church New Start Fund.
