Angel L. Ortega Lopez

SPRINGFIELD – Angel L. Ortega Lopez, 79, died February 7, 2010. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to the late Juan and Juana (Lopez) Ortega, he had lived in the Springfield area since 1992 coming from New York City where he had worked as a porter at a private condominium. Angel enjoyed playing dominos and loved spending time with his family. He was very proud of his five children, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He leaves his wife of forty-five years, Nellie Rivera Ortega; four sons: Angel Ortega, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Miami, Florida, Robert Ortega of Arizona, William Ortega of Ohio and Juan Luis Ortega and his wife Jessica of Springfield, MA; and a daughter Annabell Ortega and her husband George O’Brien of Staten Island, NY. He will be greatly missed by many other Ortega and Rivera family members. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
