Dr. Anastacia Daspit Samson, 61, surrounded by her husband, Charles, and his family was called home by her heavenly Father on May 18th . Her very strong Christian faith, optimism and determination carried her through a prolonged illness.
She was born in Belleville, Illinois, May 5th, 1949. She graduated from Lindenwood College and Washington University of St. Louis, Missouri, and from Logan Chiropractic College of St. Charles, Missouri, where she received her bachelor, master and chiropractic degrees respectively.
Dr. Anastacia was best known in the Chicopee area at the Aldenville Chiropractic office as a doctor of chiropractic where she practiced with her husband, Dr. Charles Samson, and where her greatest delight was watching the health of her patients improve.
Recently Anastacia and Charles celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and renewed their marriage vows. At the same time they noted 25 years of service at Aldenville Chiropractic. When not practicing, she planned and guided trips to Peru and China, giving her the nickname of “China Girl”. She had a love of learning about the world.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Holyoke and of the BNI (Business Networking International) Organization.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence M. Handley, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles Samson, a son, Alexander, a daughter, Angelle Aldridge (Romi Kher), her mother, Rev. Helen Fabre , and a brother, Larry (Joan) Handley and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Anastacia at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Holyoke on Saturday, June 5th at 11:00 A.M.,conducted by their pastor, the Rev. Barbara Thrall.
New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LCC, Springfield, Massachusetts has been entrusted with the arrangements.
