Allen R. Tilligkeit

GRANBY-Allen R. Tilligkeit, 72, died July 29, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Born on November 1, 1940 in Shawano, WI to August and Martha (Koeller) Tilligkeit, he had worked for many years at the United States Postal Service. Mr. Tilligkeit proudly served his country in the United States Air Force serving at Westover Air Force Base. Allen enjoyed his home and family, coaching softball and casinos. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Donald Tilligkeit and Roy Tilligkeit and a sister Helen St.Germaine, he leaves his wife of 50 years, Bertha (Watson) Tilligkeit of Granby, MA, sons, Allen Tilligkeit (Deborah) of Santa Maria, CA and Ronald Tilligkeit (Janet) of South Hadley, MA, daughters: Kathy Mcclung (Gregory) of Baton Rouge, LA, Melissa Tilligkeit of Granby, MA and Christine Martin (Thomas) of Chicopee, MA; sister, Viola Tilligkeit of Shawano, WI, eight grandchildren, a great grandson and other family members. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 beginning at 12NOON at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a service at 1:30PM.
