Allan J. Mclaurin

SPRINGFIELD-Allan Jonathan McLaurin, 63, died on August 28, 2011 at home. Born on February 29, 1948 in Holyoke, MA to the late Johnnie W. and Esther (Stewart) McLaurin, he was a lifelong area resident. Allan loved computers and science and had worked for many years at Travelers Insurance as a computer programmer. Predeceased by his parents, he leaves his sons: Allan J. McLaurin, Jr. and Arev Mock of Springfield; daughter, Kimya Dunson and her husband, Michael of Hadley; brothers: Michael McLaurin of Springfield, John McLaurin and his wife, Louise of Monson, and Marcus McLaurin and his wife, Janet of Conway; sisters: Martha Tucker and Melva McLaurin of Springfield; aunt: Jessie Ruth McLaurin Willis of Springfield; grandchildren: Michael, Caleb and Donaleigha Dunson; several nieces and nephews and other family members. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:15 PM with a service to follow at 5:15 PM all at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield.
