East Longmeadow-Alice Fiorentino, 78, passed away at Wingate at East Longmeadow on September 3, 2012. Born in Springfield, MA on July 26, 1934 to the late Emilio and Marianna (Petrillo) Fratamico, of Italy, she was a lifelong resident of Springfield and Ludlow. She was a hairdresser and the owner of Alice’s Beauty Shop, located on Walnut Street in the 1960’s. She also worked as a hairdresser for Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, gardening and cooking and will be fondly remembered for her crocheting and creation of award winning dolls. Predeceased by her husband, John V. Fiorentino who died on March 23, 2011, her son, Vincent Fiorentino, her brother, Tom Fratamico and her sisters Josie Fratamico and Elvira Fields, she leaves her loving children and their spouses: Thomas Fiorentino and his wife, Lynn, of Ludlow, MA and Angela Cousineau and her husband , Joseph, of Somers, CT; her sisters: Yolanda Heini (Fred) and Annie Colapinto (Danny) ; her grandchildren : Barbara, Nicole and Allison Fiorentino and Alicia DiLuzio; her great-grandson: Jayden Perez and her in-laws: Dora Sibilia, Anna Sheehan (Tom), Josephine Laude, Antionette Thivierge (Roger), Dolores Fratamico and Gilbert Fields. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 beginning at 8:45AM from New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA proceeding to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 4 to 7PM.
