Alfredo Gonzalez Sr., 85, passed away on Friday, September 16, 1916 at Baystate Medical Center. He was a forty year Springfield area resident, currently of Wilbraham.
He was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on January 21, 1931, one of eleven children of the late Hipolito Gonzalez and Flora (Torres) Torres. Alfredo was self-employed as a carpenter who always did jobs for everyone. “A jack of all trades, a master of none.”
He is survived by five daughters Edna Gonzalez and husband David Kemner, Ethel Gonzalez and her partner Juan Gonzalez, and Praxides Gonzalez, all of NJ, Kathy Sikes and her partner Larry Stacy, and Lynn Levasseur and her husband Jeff, of Chicopee. He will be sadly missed by fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Hilda (Carabello) Gonzalez and son, Alfredo Gonzalez, Jr.
