TURNERS FALLS - Alexander Jennings Rollins, 32, of Turners Falls; passed away March 25, 2014 of injuries sustained in an accident on March 14, 2014.

He was born March 14, 1982 in Olean, NY the son of Douglas and Jennifer (Brown) Rollins of Georgia previously of Turners Falls.

His family moved to Colrain when he was 5 years old and he attended Colrain Central School and Mohawk Regional High School.  He served in the Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees).  He worked for many years at Light Life Foods in Turners Falls.

Alex enjoyed hiking and had several spots that were special to him including Catamount Lake where he had fond memories of hiking with his family when he was younger.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing paint ball with his friends.

He leaves behind a three year old son Henry A. Rollins and his son’s mother Melanie Farr both of Greenfield, two sisters Melissa (Rollins) Martin and her husband Scott of Virginia, Rebecca (Rollins) Crosby and her husband Ryan of Georgia, two brothers Justin Rollins and his wife Shana of California, Douglas Rollins of Georgia.  He also leaves behind his grandmothers Ann Carpenter of Rhode Island and Janice Brown of Illinois, his uncle Joe Russo and his wife Gina of New Jersey.  He is predeceased by his grandfather Noel Brown.

He also leaves behind Wayne and Michelle Farr of Greenfield and their three sons; Chris, Brandon and Dakota, and Shannon Witschi of Turners Falls.A Celebration of Life will be held April 5, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. 32 Long Avenue, Greenfield, MA.
