Albert A. Govoni, 84, a sixty-year Springfield, MA resident, passed away on July 5, 2022.
Born in Plymouth, MA on June 24, 1938 to George and Elaine Govoni, he was a veteran of the U S Air Force. He retired from Package Machinery. Later he worked for the PVTA as a bus driver where he was affectionately known as “Papa Smurf” and also Auto Parts International. In his free time, he enjoyed photography, hunting, boating and golfing.
He leaves his wife Rebecca (Mackintire) Govoni, children: Paul Govoni and Mike Govoni (Darlene Falcone) and Angela Govoni Dorval: siblings Dennis Govoni and Carol Thomas: six grandchildren: Tekowa, Benjamin, Alex, Kelsey, Eric and Montana, three great grandchildren: Kaliyah, Sykema and Emily and his canine companion Geronimo. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Mikayla Govoni.
